*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated Daycare & Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a desire to provide top-notch service to our furry guests and their owners. MUST LOVE DOGS! We average 40 dogs a day.
*Duties*
- Assist in the daily care of the dogs including feeding, administration of meds, and supervising play
- Clean and sanitize kennels and play areas
- Monitor dog behavior and report any concerns to management
- Welcoming and interacting with clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Must be able to work weekends and some holidays
* Physical Demands*
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, stretch, and be on your feet for hours
- Must be able to lift and move supplies up to 50 pounds
- Must have physical ability to restrain excitable dogs of any size
*Work environment*
- Exposure to unpleasant odors, loud barking, and cleaning chemicals
- Possibility of being bitten, scratched, or knocked down
- Working alone and as a team
- Being able to work in all weather conditions
*Experience*
- Previous experience in pet care, kennel environments, or bathing is preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior and basic medical care is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions diligently
