Duties
- Operate laundry machines efficiently to wash, dry, and fold hotel linens, towels, and guest clothing items.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling.
- Perform dry cleaning services for delicate or special fabric items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating machinery to prevent accidents.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking laundry supplies and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to deliver clean linens promptly and meet guest service standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of laundry procedures, including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for weekend shifts only.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to chemical handling and machinery operation.
