Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines efficiently and safely.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing according to established standards.
- Perform dry cleaning processes for delicate or special items requiring specific treatment.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly cleaning machines and workspaces.
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for chemicals used in cleaning and dry cleaning.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels are low.
- Support overall housekeeping efforts by ensuring laundry-related tasks are completed promptly to meet guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Prior experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and quality standards.
