Job Description:
We are hiring additional team member for our busy summer season. If you have a passion for animals and enjoy providing them exceptional care this is an exciting opportunity for you.
You will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of the animals at our facility, providing a home away from home during the holidays. We are looking for enthusiastic team members that bring a strong work ethic and positive attitude each day to make the holidays merry and bright for our four legged friends. Dependability and a strong work ethic are A MUST to succeed in this position.
We are currently seeking part-time and full time candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Handle general care tasks such as feeding, walking, bathing and basic brush outs of the animals
- Cleaning/Sanitizing kenneling facilities and equipment multiple times daily according to the standards of the facility
- Responsible for the care, contentment and welfare of the animals in the facility
- Keep records of animal feedings, exercise, and other updates
- Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment
- Other duties and maintenance as assigned
- Work well with other teammates and demonstrate initiative to help teammates
Qualifications: Previous experience in animal care or other related fields is preferred but not required
- Available to work 25 hour work week.
- Weekend and holidays availability is a must for this role Including 4th of July holiday week.
- Passion to create a clean and happy environment for our pets
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependability and initiative are musts for this position
- Ability to develop an understanding of animal behavior
- Interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
