About the Role:
Colonie Golf & Country Club in Voorheesville, NY is looking for an enthusiastic and polished Banquet/Event Server to join our hospitality team! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of memorable events and deliver exceptional dining experiences in an upscale country club setting.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and break down banquet and event spaces, including tables, linens, and place settings
- Provide attentive, professional food and beverage service to guests during events and banquets
- Coordinate with banquet captains and kitchen staff to ensure seamless event execution
- Serve plated meals, buffets, and passed hors d'oeuvres according to event timelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas throughout events
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and needs
- Adhere to food safety, alcohol service, and club service standards
Requirements:
- Previous banquet, catering, or fine dining service experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Team-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced event environment
- Knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette is a plus
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol per New York State regulations
