The Country Club of Virginia is searching for a Banquet Set-up Attendant to assist with the set-up and breakdown of rooms for banquet functions, ensuring the presentation meets established standards. Assists with cleaning rugs, carpets, and floors while maintaining a spotless and safe environment.
EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Maintain a spotless and safe environment for members and staff
- Sweep, mop, and wax floors
- Clean rugs, carpets, and floors
- Inspect carpets and tablecloths for spots before setting up for functions
- Wipe and polish tables, podiums, and pedestals before setting up for functions
- Inspect tables and chairs to ensure stability
- Clean radiators and pianos and polish fireplace brass
- Replace light bulbs
- Dust blinds, shutters, and vents
- Set-up and breakdown rooms for banquet functions
- Provide audio/visual equipment (screens, projector, TV/VCR) and tape down cords
- Attend morning planning meetings
- Sweep outside of entrances & dust chandeliers for cobwebs
- Wash windows, mirrors, door panels, and sills
- Report any damaged or stained furniture or accessories to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Maintain clean, organized storage areas for equipment and supplies
SCHEDULE:
Full-Time, approximately 35-40 hours per week
Shifts from 7:00 AM—3:30 PM with occasional variation
Weekday and weekend availability required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Less than high school education; and one year related experience or training.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
