Position Summary:
The Director of Membership & Marketing serves as the face of the Club and plays a critical role in driving membership growth while elevating the Club’s brand presence. This individual is responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting prospective Members, while also leading strategic marketing and communication efforts that enhance visibility, strengthen brand identity, and support long-term success.
Key Responsibilities: (but not limited to)
- Lead all membership sales efforts, including prospecting, networking, and enrolling new Members
- Achieve and exceed established membership sales goals through proactive outreach and relationship-building
- Oversee the full membership lifecycle, ensuring a seamless enrollment process and accurate member records
- Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to drive membership growth and revenue
- Maintain and manage a robust prospect pipeline using CRM tools to track activity, measure performance, and stay organized
- Partner with internal teams to create and implement marketing campaigns, social media initiatives, and communication strategies that increase awareness and strengthen the Club’s brand
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies using reporting tools and analytics
- Represent the Club within the community to build relationships and generate new membership opportunities
- Prepare and present monthly membership reports, including sales activity, pipeline updates, and performance to goal
- Lead Membership Committee meetings and support the Club’s new member approval process
- Collaborate with Club leadership through regular sales meetings to review performance, strategy, and opportunities
- Actively participate in staff meetings and maintain strong communication across all departments to ensure alignment
Job Requirements:
- Proven success in sales, preferably in a private club, hospitality, or relationship-driven environment
- Strong ability to build relationships and convert prospects into long-term Members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Creative mindset with an eye for branding, marketing, and member experience
- Professional presence with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Ability to engage with Members, team members, and community leaders in a polished and personable manner
- Commitment to delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Private Club Experience preferred
