Job Summary
Countertop World is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stone Fabrication Technician to join our fabrication team. This position focuses on fit and finish work, miter fabrication, integrated sink fabrication, polishing, and final quality preparation of natural stone and quartz countertops. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards and production schedules. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication equipment and contribute to creating beautiful, durable stone surfaces for a variety of applications.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery and fabrication equipment such as saws, routers, grinders, and CNC machines to cut and shape stone materials accurately.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform detailed finishing, polishing, and assembly tasks.
- Fabricate and finish stone countertops according to company standards.
- Build and polish mitered edges and waterfall panels.
- Fabricate and install integrated sinks.
- Perform final fit and finish work prior to installation.
- Polish edges, seams, and sink openings.
- Inspect completed pieces for quality and accuracy.
- Read shop drawings and follow fabrication specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Assist with other fabrication duties as needed.
Requirements
- Previous stone fabrication experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, mills, or machining tools.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and materials handling procedures.
- Experience with miters, polishing, and integrated sinks strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to safely use fabrication tools and equipment.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift and move stone materials as required.
- Knowledge of millwork or similar craftsmanship skills is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
**Experience with miter fabrication and integrated sinks is preferred. Candidates with woodworking, cabinet making, solid surface, or similar fabrication experience will also be considered.**
