Role Overview:
As the Social Media Manager & Content Creator, you are a strategic, highly creative, social-first storyteller responsible for building Counter’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other emerging platforms. Reporting to the VP of Brand and working in close partnership with the Creative Director, you’ll develop, brief, and produce content that brings the Counter story to life — from trend-driven moments and short-form video to campaign storytelling designed for resonance and shareability.
This role combines content strategy, creation, and copywriting, and we’re looking for someone who can quickly concept and execute ideas in real time. You will ensure all social assets reflect Counter’s visual identity and brand standards, provide regular updates on content performance, campaign progress, and creative initiatives, and maintain alignment with broader brand goals and strategic priorities. Social isn’t just a channel — it’s where brands earn relevance and influence culture, and this role is central to shaping that story.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Counter’s social media strategy and day-to-day management across Instagram, TikTok and other platforms to drive engagement, growth, and awareness.
- In partnership with the Creative Director, ability to create and support the direction of social content — including short-form video, behind-the-scenes moments, campaign storytelling, and event coverage. Demonstrates a willingness to experiment with new formats and creative approaches to support engagement and reach.
- With an ear for sharp, clever language, craft brand-right copy for social captions and video.
- Support social shoots and day-to-day content by contributing design direction, creating clear briefs, and providing thoughtful feedback to designers and videographers, as needed. Ensure all social output maintains brand consistency while continuing to evolve the brand visually.
- Manage the social calendar and collaborate cross-functionally with Integrated Marketing Director, Brand Marketing Manager, as well as VP of Comms to align with product launches, animations, and key brand moments.
- Identify trends and cultural moments that ladder up to overarching brand narrative.
- Analyze and report against KPIs such as engagement, reach, growth, and content performance to inform ongoing content strategy. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve the effectiveness of future campaigns.
- Own community engagement strategy and ensure brand voice is consistent across all channels.
Requirements:

Knowledge of Social Media Trends: Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends, platform algorithms, and emerging visual content formats.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably within the beauty, wellness or lifestyle.
• Strong proficiency in design and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar tools.
• Familiarity with content creation tools (Canva), social media management tools, project management (Monday.com), and social listening platforms.
• Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, with a proven track record of growing engagement and reach.
• Strong understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, or third-party social analytics tools) to track performance and inform strategies.
• Experience working with influencers is a plus.
• Desire to work collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment.
