POSITION
The CS Plus Part-time (15hrs/wk) Customer Service Representative will assist CS Plus clients and staff with servicing of existing property and casualty (P&C) accounts. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, P&C account customer service, client file, database, and application management, assisting nonprofits with renewing and changing various policies and coverages. In addition, the position will require technology, communication, and systems skills to efficiently and effectively work with the nonprofit community and top decision-makers in this field. This is a nonexempt position. The CS Plus personnel policies apply to this position in full. This is an employment at will position, terminable for any lawful reason “at the will of” the employer or the employee.
DUTIES
· Work with existing clients and existing CS Plus staff prior to renewal of P&C products and program participants to gather applications needed, if applicable, communicated rate/coverage changes, and marketing accounts to alternative carriers.
· Coordinate customer inquiries and questions with appropriate staff assigned to the client.
· Respond as directed to inquiries for information and assistance from CS Plus clients including, but not limited to, Certificates of insurance, cancellation notices, billing/late payment notices, coverage endorsements, and automobile ID cards.
· Assist in the success of the corporate strategic marketing plan by identifying ancillary sales opportunities and transferring the lead to CS Plus sales staff.
· Keep a clean, organized workspace and file client folders when necessary.
· Maintain CS Plus agency management system (Newton) to reflect current client products, communications, service issues and sales efforts.
· Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate’s degree or higher required.
· Demonstrate experience and/or understanding working within a cyber-secure environment using various MFA, databases, applications, and client management and/or relationship management systems.
· Experience in working in a property & casualty insurance environment is a plus.
· Well-developed customer service skills using both email communication as well as phone/video conference skills to connect with and assist customers with their questions.
· Ability to work independently and within a team of staff to handle multiple tasks, responsibilities and customer service demands.
· Possess good problem solving and written communication skills.
· This position will require in-office attendance with minimal work from home time. Candidates are expected to have proven work from home skills including an approved workspace, the ability to work from home uninterrupted, secure internet connection, and the ability to seamlessly communicate as effectively from home as in the office with staff and clients.
· NYS P&C License is a plus, but not required
