Job Description
- Design and develop electrical power distribution systems for commercial buildings and facilities.
- Work with switchgear, emergency generators, fire alarm systems, and other essential building electrical infrastructure.
- Participate in building assessments, electrical evaluations, and recertification projects.
- Apply engineering expertise to electrical repairs, system improvements, and modernization projects.
- Support photometric studies, lighting calculations, and thermographic assessments.
- Prepare electrical drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and civil engineering professionals to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Help ensure electrical designs meet applicable codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Professional background in electrical engineering and commercial building systems.
- 3 years of relevant electrical engineering or building electrical design experience preferred.
- Experience with electrical power distribution, switchgear, generators, and fire alarm systems.
- Familiarity with building recertifications, thermography, photometric studies, or electrical repair designs is a plus.
- Ability to develop or review engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.
