QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
- Active California license as a: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- Must meet eligibility requirements to provide supervision under California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) regulations.
- Completion of the BBS-required 6-hour Clinical Supervision training within 6 months of hire and for each license renewal cycle.
- Education, training, and/or professional experience in treating substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Experience supervising associates, trainees, interns, or AOD counselors preferred.
- Experience working within community behavioral health, nonprofit treatment settings, prevention programs, or Medi-Cal funded programs preferred.
- Knowledge of Medi-Cal behavioral health documentation standards and county contract requirements.
- Strong understanding of: Ethical standards and professional practice guidelines, Clinical documentation standards, Supervision best practices, Trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.
- Cultural competency and commitment to working with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as SmartCare or Credible preferred.
- Commitment to professional mentorship, workforce development, and community-based care.
