What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Bus Driver position at Council on Aging, Inc., serving St. Clair County?
The Transportation Bus Driver is responsible for the daily operation of the vehicle to which he/she is assigned. The Bus Driver may be called upon to do any or all of the following:
1. Provide daily transportation for clients, in a safe manner.
2. Assist clients on/off the behicle in a safe manner. provide door-to-door assistance for clients.
3. Carry small items for clients, to and from the vehicle.
4. Check with Dispatcher periodically through the day to update schedule.
5. Keep vehicle supplied with gas, oil, anti-freeze, all necessary fluids, and in a clean, orderly manner.
6. Accept daily donations and turn them over to the Dispatcher.
7. Complete a daily vehicle inspection checklist and report necessary maintenance to the Dispatcher.
8. Must comply with Transportation Manual Rules and Regulations.
DL License with proper endorsement and a safe driving record are required. Must be able tow ork with and communicate well with seniors.
