Council for Airport Opportunity (CAO) is a non-profit organization that supports the airport community with its talent acquisition needs. CAO has a proven track record for sourcing and staffing the right talent for top companies at JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia Airports. The Security will work onsite at EWR Airport.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Protect what matters! Monitor and control access to aircraft, secure areas, baggage, and catering operations while preventing unauthorized entry or tampering
- Stay alert! Screen passengers, baggage, vehicles, and personnel in compliance with TSA, Port Authority, and federal regulations
- Investigate & report! Identify security threats, respond to alarms or emergencies, and immediately report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, or incidents to PAPD and supervisors
- Lead with service! Provide clear directions, assist travelers and employees, and uphold professional customer service while maintaining strict security standards
- Maintain vigilance! Conduct inspections of aircraft, facilities, and perimeter fences, perform patrols, and document activities through logs and reports
Qualifications
- Valid SORA License Required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Must be reliable and available to work varied hours, weekends, and holidays
