Program Specialist (21st Century Programs)
200 work days per year
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
$28.50 per hour (may increase based on experience)
SUMMARY
Monitors and reports all data tracking surrounding student achievement within before and after school programs supported by the 21st Century Grant. Assist in overseeing grant sponsored programs district wide, to assure quality and determine areas where improvement can be made. Assists in mentor recruitment, training, and general support for the school-based Teammates Mentoring program throughout the district.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred. Prior experience in the human services area is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet regularly with Program Director to assess programs and maintain compliance with grant goals
- Oversee data tracking and review for such items as attendance, student achievement, and discipline for students in OST programming for required evaluations, site visits, and documentation
- Oversee implementation and review of program surveys to teachers, school staff, 21st CCLC staff, community partners, and secondary students.
- Research ways to get students engaged and provide implementation plans for staff
- Design intervention programs as needed to improve outcomes in building specific goals
- Assist Program Director with the annual grant writing process
- Work closely with the external evaluator to produce annual program evaluations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Meet regularly with Teammates Coordinator to discuss program needs throughout the year
- Assist in delivering both new mentor training & renewals
- Collaborates with local TeamMates Central Office administration, the local chapter board, and district staff to implement program goals.
- Assist with mentor recruitment and operating social media .
- Assist in collecting routine reports on program participation and outcomes as required.
- Organize and facilitate fundraising activities alongside the local Chapter Board.
