As the Shipping Receiving Specialist, this position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and finished products throughout our facility and to our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a professional appearance, and a commitment to maintaining the quality and standards that define the Cottonwood brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Coordinate the receipt, storage distribution finished goods to ensure production schedules are met.

· Manage inventory levels, track stock order materials as needed to maintain optimal supply levels.

· Perform quality inspections on incoming materials as well as final inspections on cabinet parts, dimensions, finishes to ensure they meet required standards.

· Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists invoices.

· Maintain a clean organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

· Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency reduce costs.

· Verify shipments against packing lists and purchase orders for accuracy.

· Prepare finished cabinetry and millwork for shipment, including wrapping, labeling, crating, and staging orders for delivery.

· Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of all materials.

· Assist with local deliveries and help coordinate out-of-state shipments as needed.

· Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.

· Manage and organize shipping materials, pallets, and packaging supplies.

· Work closely with production and project teams to ensure materials and products are delivered on schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Good communication skills a collaborative attitude.

· Commitment to quality a passion for delivering outstanding results.

· Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (experience in manufacturing, millwork, or construction preferred).

· Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

· Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs safely and repeatedly throughout the day.

· Must be presentable, professional in appearance, and able to positively represent Cottonwood during deliveries and client interactions.

· Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment (forklift experience a plus).

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be able to assist with deliveries as required.

· Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.

· Effective communication skills and a positive, cooperative attitude.

· Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with varying temperatures and conditions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ATTITUDES

· Technical skills: The Shipping Receiving Specialist must have the understanding of basic warehouse operations, shipping documentation, and material handling best practices. Ability to use hand tools, pallet jacks, and (ideally) forklifts safely and efficiently. Familiarity with inventory tracking and basic computer use for shipping and receiving tasks.

· Communication skills: Strong verbal written communication skills are essential to this role. Clear and respectful communication is essential. Must be able to coordinate effectively with team members, drivers, production staff, and clients during deliveries.

· Attention to detail: The Shipping Receiving Specialist needs sharp attention to detail to maintain high standards of accuracy, quality safety throughout the operations. Sharp attention to detail is necessary to ensure accurate inventory records, correct documentation on-time delivery of materials finished products.

· Problem-solving skills: This position will use problem-solving skills to find solutions to challenges they encounter on the job. Ability to adapt to changing schedules, handle logistical challenges, and find practical solutions while maintaining efficiency and safety.

JOB TYPE

· Full-time.

· Monday – Friday.

· On-site – Draper, UT.

· Highly physical. Must be able to lift heavy items, stand for multiple hours withstand a variety of climates in the warehouse.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
