We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties
- Receive incoming shipments by verifying delivery documentation and inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products accurately using RF scanners and packaging materials
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or similar software
- Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory management software to ensure data accuracy
- Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule shipments, track deliveries, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards
- Assist with order fulfillment processes including picking & packing orders based on MRP (Material Requirements Planning) schedules and order picker systems
- Ensure all shipping & receiving activities adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or related roles with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or MRPs for order processing
- Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and packaging requirements
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment; certification preferred
- Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for maintaining precise records
- Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and external vendors
- Physical ability to lift heavy items safely and stand for extended periods during shift operations
