Are you a hands-on engineering leader with a passion for product design, innovation, and team development? We're looking for an Assistant Engineering Manager to help lead our engineering team and support the development of new products from concept through production. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Inventory, Sales, and R&D while helping shape the future of our product portfolio.
- Support the Engineering Manager in leading departmental operations and achieving business objectives.
- Oversee new product development initiatives and coordinate product releases with Manufacturing and Inventory teams.
- Direct and support R&D activities, including prototyping, testing, and product validation.
- Manage engineering project priorities, assign tasks, and ensure on-time completion of projects.
- Train and mentor engineering staff on procedures, processes, and CAD system functionality.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and developing engineering talent.
- Provide technical support to Sales and assist with customer inquiries and product-related questions.
- Ensure engineering documentation, CAD assemblies, drawings, and revisions are accurate and up to date.
Required Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
✔ 3-5 years of product design experience utilizing a 3D CAD platform.
✔ Strong mechanical design expertise and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
✔ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
✔ Ability to travel domestically as needed.
✔ Experience leading or supervising engineering teams in a product design environment.
✔ Experience collaborating with Manufacturing, Inventory Control, and Sales teams.
