Network Analysts are responsible for ensuring a high availability network infrastructure, and for implementing, maintaining, supporting/troubleshooting, developing and/or designing communication networks to provide maximum system performance. Network Analysts analyze, configure, plan, design, and implement network solutions; work with development teams to enhance and improve system operability; support/troubleshoot network issues; coordinate installation; test network redundancy, resilience, and failover of network elements to ensure standards are met; and develop tools to automate the deployment, administration, and monitoring of a network system.

ROLE
● Designs and configures routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, access points, and other network infrastructure.
● Develops and implements network solutions and strategies that meet business needs.
● Develops plans for network infrastructure that adhere to Costco’s IS security and network standards.
● Develops, prepares, and assists in implementing standard practices and procedures for network infrastructure devices.
● Identifies and resolves network issues in accordance with incident and problem management policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
● Creates and maintains network documents and diagrams solutions, configurations, and break/fix steps.
● Isolates network faults, utilizing packet captures and other enterprise network analysis tools.
● Configures WAN/LAN (hardware, software) prior to installation.
● Adheres to security and controls processes regarding network data.
● Evaluates vendor hardware and software recommendations for stability, operational reliability, and business need.
● Facilitates and/or collaborates on non-network designs, choice of technologies, and deployment strategies.
● Provides second and third level support for recovery and restoration of the network in event of a disaster or major incident.
● Mentors and provides training to team members and other departments.
● Configures and troubleshoots routing protocols, with multi-protocol route redistributions.
● Identifies and resolves problems, often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develops and evaluates options and implements solutions.
● Gathers and analyzes user and project requirements; works with Network Analysts, Engineers, and other technical and non-technical teams to design solutions to meet requirements.
● Partners with the network support team for Tier 3 troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
● Analyzes network capacity and availability to meet networking requirements while maintaining a secure environment.
● Researches new networking solutions to solve problems or deficiencies.
● Documents and diagrams network solutions, configurations, and break/fix steps.
● Provides documentation and training to Network Support as well as other technical staff.
● Designs, configures, and implements wireless Enterprise Network platforms.
● Drives to innovate automation at the network layer.
● Leads networking efforts on large enterprise projects.
REQUIRED
● Demonstrated proficiency in networking-based technology either with work experience or applicable certification.
● Thorough understanding of the OSI model, as well as IPv4 protocol suite.
● Strong troubleshooting skills to isolate network faults.
● Knowledgeable on Security Best Practices, procedures, and compliance.
● Able to work with suppliers providing/supporting hardware and networking services in a professional, respectful manner.
● Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to create and present documentation or proposals for projects/tasks.
● Ability to work effectively and make confident decisions under pressure.
● Must be a self-starter and able to perform in a quickly changing environment.
● Occasional travel both domestically as well as international.
Recommended
● 4 years’ experience designing large scalable networks using multiple vendor networking platforms and routing protocols.
● 3 years’ experience with Palo Alto, InfoBlox, F5, Cisco, Juniper.
● 2 years’ experience with Network monitoring tools, such as LiveAction, Netscout, Splunk.
● Proficient with packet capture tools and network protocol analysis.
● Experience with DNS, DHCP and IP management tools.
● Experience with Unix, Linux, Windows server administration and virtualization.
● Established understanding of Load Balancers and traffic shaping protocols and tools.
● Experience building/supporting highly available, scalable cloud-based platforms and infrastructure for cloud native systems.
● Established proficiency of LAN Switching and WLAN 802.11ax controller based and Wireless Bridge technology.
● Knowledgeable with multi factor authentication and authorization processes and protocols. TACACS , Radius, ISE, LDAP, AD, authentication services, as well as SAML token/certificate-based client authentication.
● Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
● Familiarity with scripting and APIs as they relate to Network Automation.
● Experience with CCNP.

Pay Ranges:
Level 2 - $95,000 - $125,000
Level 3 - $115,000 - $150,000
Level 4 - $135,000 - $175,000
