Snack Bar Attendant

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Snack Bar Attendant, where you will be the friendly face and efficient operator behind our snack bar. This energetic role is perfect for someone eager to serve, excited to interact with customers, and looking to work for the remainder of the summer. You will be responsible for preparing and serving ice cream and beverages, managing sales transactions with precision, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure every guest has an enjoyable experience while supporting the smooth operation of our food service area.

Duties

• Prepare a variety of ice cream, beverages, and quick-service food items in accordance with safety and quality standards
• Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Engage with customers by taking orders and providing exceptional service to enhance their experience
• Manage cash register operations including processing cash transactions, giving change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, kitchen equipment, and food handling areas to meet health regulations
• Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to sanitation standards to ensure food safety management

Qualifications

• Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred.
• This is an entry level position and we are willing to train the right person with a friendly demeanor and willingness to be a team player.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks quickly in a fast-paced setting
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash registers
• Ability to maintain a clean workspace at all times
• Prior retail sales or food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
