What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unloader I position at Costa Solutions?
The Unloader I is responsible for unloading merchandise in accordance with established safety, procedural and accuracy standards to meet the warehouse operation goals.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

- Unload incoming shipments from trucks, or containers using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand tools.
- Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Sort and stage materials in designated warehouse or production areas according to inventory and production requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized unloading area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production personnel to coordinate material flow and support timely production schedules.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and documentation as needed to support accurate record-keeping.
Physical Requirements
Basic physical fitness to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Must be physically capable of constantly lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience, preferred
- Previous working experience as a warehouse worker, preferred
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods or the ability to learn processes and procedures
- Must maintain certification, if using powered industrial equipment
Work Environment
This position works in a warehouse setting with various temperatures. Warehouse temperatures vary from freezer, refrigerator, climate control to no climate control warehouses as well as some outdoor exposure. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, two-way forklift flow and loud noise.
