About the Role
Fresh Ideas is seeking a high energy, self-confident individual to learn about and sell RTE products produced in our Charlestown, Ma. production facility. Our ideal candidate will be a friendly and a comfortable conversationalist who is excited in learning the trade and comfortable in front of customers. This is an entry-level sales role.
Responsibilities
- Develops customer base for our extensive line of fresh processed vegetables and prepared salads under FDA and USDA. Foodservice and Retail.
- Markets Fresh Ideas Company as the premier fresh produce and protein salad manufacturer for New England.
- Develops intricate knowledge of the products produced by Fresh Ideas and Sensational Salads and their advantages over the competition.
- Develops knowledge of our SQF (Safe Quality Foods) superior food safety program and markets same to customers.
- Maintains/builds/manages relationships with existing customers.
- Develops sales with new customers.
- Professionally manages sales territory with focus on face to face customer interaction.
- Communicates effectively and communicates issues in a professional manner to the company.
- Provides timely competitive reporting for market retail and foodservice.
- Assists in pricing strategy with all accounts to maximize margin.
Qualifications
- A valid Drivers License
