Accountant

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Your expertise will support our organization’s financial health by maintaining precise records, performing complex reconciliations, and contributing to the overall integrity of our financial reporting. • Prepare and analyze journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
• Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday, UltiPro, Ceridian, Kronos, ADP, Paychex, and others to record financial transactions efficiently.
• Perform payroll management tasks using systems like ADP or UltiPro while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and payroll laws.
• Assist with budgeting activities, financial forecasting, and data entry tasks that support organizational planning efforts.
• Support internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

• Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems; familiarity with payroll software like ADP or Paychex is highly desirable.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP standards along with experience in technical accounting and public accounting practices.
• Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation, journal entries, balance sheet analysis, and double-entry bookkeeping with precision.
• Strong math skills complemented by excellent data entry accuracy (10 key typing).
• Experience with tax preparation processes and non-profit accounting is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data accurately while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
