The Circulating RN is a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for coordinating and controlling multidisciplinary activities to ensure a safe, seamless, and patient-centered operative experience. This position also assists with clinical duties in the aesthetic clinic as needed.
Pre-Operative
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate patient identification and surgical planning
- Inspect and prepare OR for cleanliness, safety, and equipment readiness
- Assist in preparing surgical instruments and supplies per surgeon’s preferences
- Perform pre-op assessments and assist patient transfer to OR
- Serve as patient advocate during anesthesia induction and surgery
- Anticipate surgical team needs and maintain sterile field integrity
- Document intra-operative data, manage counts, and handle specimens
- Assist with patient recovery and transfer to PACU
- Provide detailed patient condition reports
- Complete post-op documentation and room turnover
- Assist with pre- and post-op patient assessments
- Support non-surgical procedures and consultations as needed
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nevada
- Minimum 1 year of perioperative nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Strong understanding of surgical and aseptic technique
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Physical ability to assist in patient transfers and OR readiness
