Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services such as cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions using advanced techniques.
- Provide expert consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable treatments or styles.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations.
- Use salon management software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently.
- Upsell retail products related to hair care and beauty to enhance client results and increase revenue.
- Stay current with the latest trends in hair styling, coloring techniques, and beauty treatments through ongoing education.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge on salon procedures, customer service excellence, and technical skills such as straight razor shaving or makeup application.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry.
- Proficiency in salon software systems such as daysmart for appointment booking and client management.
- Strong knowledge of hair care products, color theory, and advanced styling techniques including hair extensions.
- Experience with hair coloring, haircutting, makeup application, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication skills for client consultation and building rapport.
- Ability to perform specialized services like straight razor shaves or barbering techniques when applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage store operations or assist in store management tasks is a plus.
