A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this role is $140,000 - $175,000/salary. Further, pay is offered based on geographic location, internal equity, market data, applicant’s job-related skills, commensurate experience, required licensures, certifications, and certain degrees.

Job Purpose Summary
- Manages and directs the production value stream of a business unit, ensuring efficient delivery of high‑quality products.
- Implements production plans and schedules, overseeing end‑to‑end cost control across the entire value stream.
- Ensures compliance with quality standards and applicable regulations across all production processes.
- Oversees cost, time, quality, and material flows to guarantee efficient and profitable production performance.
- Leads multi‑level teams, maintaining high engagement and ensuring alignment with organizational values.
- Manage and direct the production value stream of the business unit, ensuring efficient, safe, and high‑quality product delivery.
- Establish and maintain the visual factory, enabling transparency of performance, flow, and priorities across the value stream.
- Plan, organize, and distribute workloads, ensuring smooth, efficient execution of routine and priority tasks while optimizing personnel and facility utilization.
- Maintain continuous product flow and align with demand requirements, adjusting resources proactively to meet production needs.
- Ensure achievement of key business metrics, including cost, quality, delivery, productivity, safety, and inventory performance; lead corrective actions when targets are not met.
- Track, analyze, and improve KPIs, including OEE, scrap and yield, OTD, cycle time, and inventory turns.
- Identify and resolve performance issues within the value stream through structured problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis (RCA).
- Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives, evaluating the effectiveness of implemented improvements and identifying new opportunities for waste reduction.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of current-state and future-state value-stream maps, identifying gaps and initiatives to improve flow and performance.
- Support and review corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), ensuring timely follow‑up and effectiveness of implementation.
- Promote strong teamwork and a collaborative culture, fostering engagement across all levels of personnel within the value stream.
- Provide leadership aligned with the organization’s Mission, Values, and Guiding Principles, modeling expected behaviors and promoting accountability.
- Serve as the primary communication point for issue escalation and resolution within the value stream and across other plants and functional groups.
- Coordinate with internal customers and cross-functional teams (planning, quality, maintenance, supply chain) to ensure commitments and schedules are met.
- Lead daily management (tier meetings) and support strategy deployment to sustain operational discipline and alignment with business goals.
- Ensure a strong safety culture, maintaining compliance with safety policies and driving risk‑mitigation actions.
- Develop talent within the value stream, provide coaching, feedback, and support for skill development and succession planning.
- Perform other duties as required to support the overall success of the value stream and the business.
- Bachelor’s degree, industrial engineering, mechanics
- 8 to 10 years of experience in a medical device manufacturing environment or related
- Experience in manufacturing management and production operations, particularly in regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of Value Stream Management principles applied to production.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools: VSM, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, SMED, Poka‑Yoke, takt time, flow optimization.
- Familiarity with capacity analysis, line balancing, and bottleneck management.
- Understanding of process quality systems, including SPC, MSA, control plans, and CAPA.
- Knowledge of applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, GMP, QSR)
- Ability to plan schedules, manage capacity, control production costs, and oversee material flow.
- Strong command of KPI management: OEE, scrap/yield, lead time, on‑time delivery, inventory turns, cycle time.
- Strong analytical capability with data‑driven decision-making.
- Proficiency with structured problem-solving methods (A3, 8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5 Whys).
- Ability to interpret operational and quality data to drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Leadership ability to supervise production teams and coordinate cross-functional areas.
- Skilled at promoting teamwork, engagement, and alignment with organizational values.
- Competence in coaching, developing talent, and leading change.
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills, serving as the focal point for collaboration across the value stream.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and production tracking tools.
- MS Office.
- Comfortable using digital collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Understanding of product costing, labor efficiency, scrap cost, and cost‑to‑serve.
- Solid understanding of operational budgeting and cost management in a production environment.
- Availability for occasional trips.
- Will report to Tijuana site daily.
- For candidates residing in the United States, valid enrollment in SENTRI or Global Entry is required.
