Press Operator (Flexographic Printing) Locations:North Syracuse, NYCohoes, NYShift Schedule:North Syracuse Location: 2nd Shift – Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AMCohoes Location: 2nd Shift – Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:00 AMPay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hourPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Press Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality labels according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate flexographic presses and related printing equipment according to established procedures and production requirements.Maintain accurate production records, quality documentation, and other required paperwork.Monitor press performance and inspect printed products to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.Load and unload paper rolls, mount and shaft rolls, and maintain proper ink levels, color consistency, and chemistry.Make adjustments to press settings to ensure accurate registration and optimal print quality.Perform routine press maintenance, including cleaning equipment and components, changing tooling and gears, lubricating parts, and maintaining press stations.Operate all press functions safely and efficiently.Keep work areas, tools, materials, and supplies clean and organized.Follow all safety, sanitation, and product safety policies and procedures.Collaborate effectively with supervisors, shift leads, and team members to meet production goals.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of flexographic printing press experience required.Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machines, tools, equipment operation, repair, and maintenance.Ability to identify problems, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production documentation accurately.Proficiency in mathematical concepts related to measurements and calculations used in manufacturing.Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50–60 pounds regularly.Ability to push or roll 300–800 pounds using a pallet jack.Good manual dexterity for cutting, grasping, guiding, pressing, pulling, pushing, rolling, typing, and operating equipment controls.Ability to stand for extended periods on various surfaces.Ability to reach, twist, bend, and stretch as required.Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception.Ability to accurately distinguish colors.Additional RequirementsMust successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug testing.If you are an experienced flexographic press operator seeking a stable opportunity with a four-day workweek and competitive pay, we encourage you to apply.
