Engineer II

Corteva Agriscience LLC seeks a full-time Engineer II based in Johnston, IA. This position is responsible for partnering with our analytics and data science team to build efficient data pipelines that power insightful data products, dashboards, and analysis. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field & 2 years related exp. Must also have 24 months of exp with the following: (1) Building frameworks to support logging, error processing, and scheduling using Python and shell scripts; (2) Decoding existing programs and document mapping rules to design new cloud-based applications; (3) Implementing concepts of data structures, error handling, and data manipulation; (4) Utilizing ETL processes and techniques for data modeling and data integration; and (5) Utilizing the following tools/technologies: Python, Linux, Git, PySpark, Postgresql, AWS (S3, RDS, EC2), DBT, Dagster, Docker, and Kafka. Will accept exp gained before, during or after Master’s program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Johnston, IA Corteva office, as directed. Salary: $89,000 to $140,000/year. Full-time, position located in Johnston, IA.
