Position Overview
Seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Pipe Welder with a strong welding and fabrication background. The ideal candidate can independently perform precision pipe welding with carbon steel and stainless steel and is ready to contribute immediately with little to no training.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe.
Weld couplings and outlets onto pipe.
Perform precision pipe-to-pipe welding.
Weld specialty components including spool pieces and pipe sections.
Inspect welds for defects and verify quality.
Check fitting alignment and pipe positioning.
Inspect pipe for seams, splits, and other defects.
Maintain a clean and safe welding station.
Follow all safety and quality standards.
Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns requiring repair.
Complete required online training through Workday.
Perform general reading, writing, and basic computer tasks.
Must-Have Qualifications
35 years of recent welding/fabrication experience.
Strong MIG and TIG welding experience.
Hands-on experience welding pipe.
Experience with carbon steel and/or stainless steel.
Ability to work independently with minimal/no training.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to inspect work and identify welding/fabrication defects.
Weld Test Requirement
A hands-on weld test is required during the interview.
Candidates must:
Be prepared to perform the weld test onsite.
Bring their welding hood and required PPE.
Be available for a minimum 2-hour onsite interview/weld test.
