Plating Technician I 2nd Shift
Location: Lincoln, NH
Pay: $21.05/hr $3.50/hr shift differential
Schedule: MondayFriday, 3:00 PM11:30 PM
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 after 90 days, based on performance and attendance
We are seeking a dependable Plating Technician I to operate equipment used in metal finishing and plating operations. This role involves loading and unloading parts, preparing materials for processing, monitoring tanks and solution temperatures, inspecting finished products, and maintaining accurate production records.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload parts using baskets, racks, barrels, and tote pans.
Operate electric hoists and perform manual material handling.
Perform plating and metal-finishing processes such as cleaning, etching, degreasing, coating, heat treating, and drying.
Follow established procedures and safety requirements.
Monitor solution temperatures and maintain production logs.
Inspect parts throughout processing to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintain clean and organized tanks and work areas.
Assist with chemical handling, solution maintenance, material handling, and general utility duties.
Troubleshoot basic to moderate process or equipment issues.
Maintain responsibility for the quality of finished products.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, percentages, and rates.
Basic understanding of chemistry and its application to manufacturing processes.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and chemicals.
Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift/move up to 30 lbs.
Steel or composite-toe safety shoes and long sleeves are required.
Ideal Candidate Backgrounds:
Plating Technician, Metal Finishing, Electroplating, Chemical Processing, Manufacturing Operator, Production Operator, Machine Operator, Industrial Finishing, Powder Coating, Anodizing, Heat Treating, or related manufacturing experience.
