Job Overview:
As an Expeditor, you will play a crucial role in streamlining our production processes and ensuring timely delivery of products to our clients. You will work as a liaison between Production and Customer Service by providing updates on changes to customer delivery requirements and providing status of jobs in the Production area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Production Flow: Collaborate with various departments, including production, logistics, and procurement, to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
- Material Planning: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overages. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely acquisition of raw materials.
- Production Schedule Oversight: Develop and maintain production schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes in demand, delays, or other factors affecting production timelines.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between different departments to relay critical information regarding production schedules, material availability, and any potential issues that may impact delivery timelines.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively identify potential bottlenecks or issues in the production process and work with relevant teams to implement effective solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that products meet the company's quality standards before being sent to customers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and any other relevant data. Generate reports as needed.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an expediting or production coordination role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
