Site Lead - Trackless Mobile Infantry Target (TMIT)

The Site Lead is responsible for the overall execution of TMIT operations at the assigned site, including operational, quality, environmental, and security aspects of program performance. The Site Lead leads all contractor personnel supporting the site and manages operations in accordance with TMIT contract deliverables. The Site Lead serves as the primary point of contact for the planning, preparation, and execution of training events. The Site Lead coordinates directly with TECOM Site Systems Officer (SSO) and exercising units, advises unit staff on the employment of TMIT capabilities, and ensures units maximize the training value of the Humanoid Engageable Kinetic Training Robot (HEKTR) system. The Site Lead also supports unit after-action reviews by providing system performance data and observations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and supervise all TMIT site operations in support of Marine Corps training requirements at assigned locations including Quantico, Camp Pendleton, Twentynine Palms, Camp Lejeune, Okinawa, and Hawaii. Provide technical and management oversight of contractor personnel and coordinate with the Program Manager to ensure all program requirements are met.
  • Ensure performance across all PWS requirements including cost, schedule, staffing, and operational readiness meets or exceeds contract standards. Plan, coordinate, and execute TMIT training support through the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) and maintain direct coordination with training units to support exercise planning and execution.
  • Advise training unit staff on the effective employment of the HEKTR robotic target system within their scheme of maneuver and ensure systems are configured to support training objectives. Lead troubleshooting and preventive and corrective maintenance efforts to maintain operational readiness of trailers, robots, and supporting equipment.
  • Coordinate the movement and shipment of equipment and personnel required to support training events and manage surge support between sites when required. Oversee operational management of labor, technical resources, and logistical support necessary for successful training execution.
  • Ensure appropriate business management processes and reporting procedures are in place and maintained. Collect and report system performance data, service delivery metrics, and after-action review inputs in accordance with contractual requirements. Apply continuous process improvement methods to strengthen operational performance.
  • Support program management functions including the review and submission of required reports, coordination of annual maintenance planning, staff training and certification, and submission of Corps Solutions monthly invoices. Ensure all required TMIT reports are reviewed and submitted to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
EDUCATION
  • High school diploma. 
  • Attended Professional Military Education appropriate to rank at time of separation or retirement from the uniformed service. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
EXPERIENCE
  • Former Marine Gunner or Senior Staff Non-Commissioned Officer preferred.
  • Experience with simulator systems or tracked/wheeled robotic systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps training development processes, including Instructional Systems Design and the Systems Approach to Training and Education.
  • Understanding of range operations, exercise design, and scenario development.
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor regulations and OSHA requirements
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of small-unit doctrine and tactics.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and/or SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting instructor development, curriculum development, and exercise design.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with military leadership and senior management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to plan and prioritize multiple training events.
  • Ability to prepare clear written communications and present training concepts effectively.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Field and overnight training may be required.
  • Prolonged outdoor exposure to extreme weather conditions ranging from desert heat above 100°F to mountainous environments below -25°F.
  • Routine lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Daily driving in rugged training environments with poor road conditions.
  • Must be capable of operating a ¾-ton truck and towing a 25-foot trailer
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
  • Occasional travel CONUS and OCONUS may be required.
  • Passport required.
  • Able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) or Defense Biometric Identification Systems (DBIDS) access to military installations.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider. 
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION
  • $85,000-$90,000
