HR Generalist
Reports to: Sr. HR Business Partner
Location: Atlanta, GA (with travel to airport sites as needed)
Position Summary
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the full employee life cycle, with a strong emphasis on onboarding, compliance, and credential management for airport and secure locations. This role ensures every employee meets company, federal, and airport requirements before assignment and throughout employment. The HR Generalist also assists with benefits enrollment, documentation accuracy, and overall HR process improvement to enhance employee experience and organizational compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage all airport and customs badging processes, including initial issuance, renewals, and terminations, ensuring adherence to TSA and airport authority regulations.
- Conduct and maintain I-9 verification compliance for all new hires and rehires.
- Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring completion of all new hire documentation, orientation materials, and HRIS data accuracy.
- Audit benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and COBRA notifications in collaboration with the Sr. HRBP.
- Track and monitor expiring credentials, licenses, and access badges; issue timely renewal reminders and update systems accordingly.
- Maintain secure and organized employee compliance records, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.
- Support HR leadership in identifying and implementing onboarding and retention improvements for greater efficiency and employee engagement.
- Partner with management to ensure new employees transition smoothly into their roles and receive accurate HR guidance.
Qualifications
Education:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of HR or compliance experience, preferably in a secure or airport environment.
- Familiarity with I-9, COBRA, and onboarding procedures.
- HRIS and data management experience (ADP, Paycom, or similar).
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation.
Salary : $58,000 - $60,000
