The Role
This role is central to ensuring every employee is credentialed, compliant, and set up for success from day one. You will be responsible for supporting the full employee life cycle, with a strong emphasis on onboarding, compliance, and credential management for our airport and secure locations. The HR Generalist also assists with benefits enrollment, documentation accuracy, and overall HR process improvement to enhance employee experience and organizational compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage all airport and customs badging processes, including initial issuance, renewals, and terminations, ensuring adherence to TSA and airport authority regulations.
- Conduct and maintain I-9 verification compliance for all new hires and rehires.
- Manage the onboarding process, ensuring completion of all new hire documentation, orientation materials, and HRIS data accuracy.
- Audit benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and COBRA notifications in collaboration with the Sr. HRBP.
- Track and monitor expiring credentials, licenses, and access badges; issue timely renewal reminders and update systems accordingly.
- Maintain secure and organized employee compliance records, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.
- Support HR leadership in identifying and implementing onboarding and retention improvements for greater efficiency and employee engagement.
- Partner with management to ensure new employees transition smoothly into their roles and receive accurate HR guidance.
Qualifications
Education:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of HR or compliance experience, preferably in a highly regulated setting or airport environment.
- Familiarity with I-9, COBRA, and onboarding procedures.
- HRIS and data management experience (ADP, Paycom, or similar).
- Experience working in a unionized environment (preferred).
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation.
- Must have working knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance.
