What You’ll Do
Customs Entry & Compliance
- Prepare and transmit accurate U.S. Customs entries
- Classify goods under the HTSUS with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Validate HTS codes, duty rates, country of origin, and customs valuation
- Process ISFs, Post Summary Corrections, protests, and other entry filings
- Maintain import records in accordance with CBP retention requirements
International Trade & Logistics Coordination
- Manage and coordinate inbound international shipments for timely and cost-effective delivery
- Work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders
- Track shipments and proactively communicate status updates and delays
- Resolve customs holds, exams, and entry discrepancies with brokers and CBP
Compliance & Analysis
- Ensure compliance with CBP regulations, PGA requirements, and trade laws
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate potential business impacts
- Conduct internal audits of import files for accuracy and compliance
- Assist with voluntary disclosures and compliance due diligence
- Maintain centralized product master data (HTS, 7501, transport, invoice details)
Process Improvement & Support
- Identify opportunities to improve freight routing, consolidation, and landed cost efficiency
- Support vendor onboarding and ensure international supplier compliance
- Serve as internal subject matter resource for import-related questions and training
- Stay current on trade regulations, tariffs, and industry developments
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in customs brokerage, import operations, or international trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of HTS classification, CBP entry processes, and import regulations
- Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, or logistics providers
- Understanding of trade agreements, customs valuation, and country of origin rules
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) preferred, but not required
