Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
- 3 year minimum and progressive accounting experience
Duties and Abilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in various industries
- Conduct general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist company executives with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support organizational planning
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of financial reporting systems
- Maintain accurate records of payroll, tax filings, and other statutory obligations
- Support internal and external audits through documentation preparation and process review
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and other financial management tools for daily operations
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to continuous process improvements in accounting procedures
- Assist in interpreting financial reports for management decision-making and prepare detailed financial reports as needed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general financial concepts
- Experience in various industries is preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, Quickbooks, and other relevant financial tools
- Expertise in financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
- Ability to analyze financial data through financial report writing and interpretation skills
- Accounting degree and 2 years relevant experience required
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and tax experience is advantageous
- Excellent understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and internal controls
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication skills for collaboration across departments and mentoring team members
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
