Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • 3 year minimum and progressive accounting experience

Duties and Abilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in various industries
  • Conduct general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
  • Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Assist company executives with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support organizational planning
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of financial reporting systems
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll, tax filings, and other statutory obligations
  • Support internal and external audits through documentation preparation and process review
  • Utilize accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and other financial management tools for daily operations
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to continuous process improvements in accounting procedures
  • Assist in interpreting financial reports for management decision-making and prepare detailed financial reports as needed

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general financial concepts
  • Experience in various industries is preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, Quickbooks, and other relevant financial tools
  • Expertise in financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
  • Ability to analyze financial data through financial report writing and interpretation skills
  • Accounting degree and 2 years relevant experience required
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and tax experience is advantageous
  • Excellent understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and internal controls
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication skills for collaboration across departments and mentoring team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
