Full Salary Range: $120,574.45 - $180,861.67
Hiring Salary Range: $120,574.45 - $150,718.06
Position Summary:
Responsible for contributing to the success and reputation of the credit union and the Commercial Lending Department by reviewing and performing quality analyses for commercial loans to potential and existing members. This position assures these analyses are accurate, objectively present the risk of the transaction, and address Alero’s ability to be repaid. Role to oversees processing and analysts team and is responsible for continued development of this team . Duties must be accomplished in compliance with federal and state laws and in accordance with the credit union’s policies and procedures and with constant attention to Alero’s creed, vision, mission, and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Loan Administration
- Communicate commercial program and documentation requirements to commercial staff by having a thorough understanding of all product offerings, requirements, policies, procedures.
- Monitor and maintain pipeline to ensure proper documentation and closing dates are met and loans close within satisfactory period.
- Maintain pipeline report.
- Oversee credit analysts work and loans submitted for approval to ILOC.
- Create monthly and quarterly board reports following established timelines.
- Act as the liaison for annual regulatory audits and manage third-party quality control audits.
- Sell the credit union services related to loan products, as well as other products/services of Alero.
- Contribute suggestions and ideas to management regarding departmental procedures and efficiencies and assist management in achieving corporate goals and objectives.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Operations
- Provide loan decisioning through ILOC.
- Review all loan presentations and annual reviews for accuracy, appropriate risk rating, and compliance with policy and procedures.
- Provide support to department personnel for all facets of the loan transaction- appraisals, EPA reports, documentation.
- Assist the Credit Analyst and Loan Tech in maintaining current documentation for approved appraisers and environmental consultants.
- Prepare and complete loan documentation and assist staff in preparing loan documentation to ensure there is staff trained as a primary backup to the documentation process.
- Monitor and report delinquent account status on all commercial loans, to include participations purchased and sold.
- Perform risk analyses and present findings on the commercial portfolio.
- Develop ideas, suggestions, and alternatives for commercial loan products and services.
- Perform special projects as assigned by Management.
- Assist Management in achieving corporate goals and objectives.
- Keep current on industry regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- College graduate or 5 years commercial lending or related business experience.
- Commercial lending, credit and administrative experience is required
- Laser pro proficiency and experience overseeing commercial lending process, portfolio management meeting regulatory requirements.
Skills and Competencies
- Must possess excellent math, judgment, reasoning, communication, computer skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities is mandatory.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting is required.
