What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Tax Analyst within our Corporate Accounting & Finance division. This position falls under our Global Corporate Services team and is located in Covington, LA.
As a successful Tax Analyst you will be bringing 2 years of experience in corporate income tax compliance and provision. Joining our small but dynamic tax team. This is a hands-on role ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, brings advanced technical and computer skills, and is eager to grow with a publicly traded, growth-oriented company.
This role offers a unique opportunity to expand your responsibilities across the tax lifecycle, including compliance, ASC 740 provision work, research, and process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will take ownership of key functions while remaining flexible and willing to support the broader team as needed
You will report directly to the Vice President of Domestic Tax and regularly collaborate with Global Tax, Legal/Compliance, Treasury, Operations, Product, AP and Accounting teams.

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include performing and/or managing the following:
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns, extensions, and estimates.
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision, including tax footnotes and disclosures for SEC filings.
- Reconcile and maintain tax accounts and deferred tax balances.
- Support tax audits and respond to notices from taxing authorities.
- Research and analyze tax issues and changes in tax law; prepare technical memos as necessary.
- Work closely with external tax advisors and internal finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of tax processes, controls, and systems.
- Leverage advanced computer skills to automate and streamline compliance and provision processes.
- Collaborate and share responsibilities with team members across all areas of tax.
- Participate in special projects, including M&A tax diligence, tax planning, and international expansion, as applicable.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation a plus.
- 2 years of relevant corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740 tax provision concepts.
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with tax software (e.g., Corptax, OneSource, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.) a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and a willingness to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
