The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Serving as Finance Lead for new business prospects, existing business renewals, and new product/service offerings.
- Constructing a cost-benefit analysis for any project that may have an economic impact on SVS.
- Developing and maintaining track reports to measure actual performance against expected results.
- Maintaining an array of monthly reports, which include but are not limited to: SVS KPIs, Net Revenue, Transactions, eCommerce, Client Performance, and Digital Services.
- Providing ad hoc analysis and reporting as necessary.
- Working with business leaders/SMEs to identify, analyze, and implement profit enhancement opportunities across all facets of the business: Card production, Transaction processing, Digital/Mobile Wallet Services, E-commerce, B2B (Product sets, Buyers, 3rd-party program management
- Identifying potential new revenue streams/fee structures to complement profit enhancement work
- Analyzing opportunities for operational process improvement as needed
- Assisting with contract negotiations for new clients, existing client renewals/new services
- Performing Various ad hoc analyses to support business as required
- Providing assistance with month-end financial statement analysis as needed (revenue, expense, KPI’s, etc.)
- Assisting with annual planning and periodic forecasting processes (revenue, expense, KPI’s, etc.)
- Assisting as needed with internal/external audit support
- Developing and presenting cohesive presentations to review findings with various levels of organization
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus. 3 years of financial and/or account analysis/budgeting & forecast experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; work experience in a transaction-oriented business is a plus
- Proven ability to analyze and model business data, present options in an easily understandable format, evaluate options/make recommendations based on analysis
- Proven ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with understanding details of client contract structures and various levers within agreements
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities, adjust priorities on the fly, while meeting deliverable timelines
- Self-starter requiring minimal hands-on direction
- Sound knowledge of finance and accounting principles
- Excellent quantitative/analytical skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficient at financial modeling
- Ability to regularly interpret financial information and provide financial insight into business issues
- Strong level of personal organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Confidence when interacting with senior management and all levels of the organization
- Detail oriented
- Ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively
- Work calmly in a fast-paced team environment while effectively managing multiple projects
- High proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of accounting and query-based systems is a plus
