Billing Specialist
(Mental Health – In Office, Provo)
We’re a growing mental health practice in Provo looking for a billing specialist who knows how to own their role, work as part of a team, and follow through with purpose.
You’ll play a hands-on role in managing insurance claims, helping us keep cash flow clean and claims moving forward. This isn’t a “data entry” position—we want someone who can collaborate, problem-solve, and get results.
Work Days:
- Monday - Friday
Work Hours:
- 10AM - 3PM (28 hours)
What You’ll Do:
- Tackle insurance rejections, denials, and oddities in payment
- Call payers to resolve denials, clarify policies, and get claims paid
- Help patients understand their balances and payment responsibilities
- Review workflows with our team, then take ownership and execute
- Use TherapyNotes, Availity, Google Workspace, and Microsoft tools daily
- Help us spot trends, clean up delays, and improve the billing system
Who Are You:
- You’ve worked in healthcare or mental health billing before
- You’re comfortable talking to both insurance reps and patients
- You like structure, but also love solving problems when things go off script
- You’re focused, proactive, and reliable without needing to be micromanaged
- You value teamwork, clear communication, and moving with purpose
Bonus Points If You:
- Know your way around ERA/EOBs and CPT codes
- Have worked in TherapyNotes or similar platforms
- Want to grow in revenue cycle operations over time
Location: In-office only, based in Provo.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
