RN Supervisor - Baylor Position
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional patient care within a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of patient management, and the ability to supervise and mentor nursing staff. This role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.
- Assess residents, respond to changes in condition, and communicate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Oversee medication administration, treatments, and clinical documentation.
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and skilled care services.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and federal/state regulations.
- Manage staffing, call-offs, and shift assignments to maintain appropriate coverage.
- Mentor, coach, and orient nursing staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Maintain accurate reports, complete required documentation, and participate in quality improvement and regulatory readiness.
- Serve as the clinical resource and nursing leader during assigned shifts.
Experience
- 2 years in a supervisory role within long-term healthcare is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- CPR Certification required
- Possession of current Registered Nurse license required
- Excellent attendance record
Schedule: Full Time Baylor; 3pm-11pm on Fridays, 3pm on Saturdays until 7am on Sundays; 11pm-7am on Sundays; 11pm-7am e/o holiday; 64 hours bi-weekly (paid for 80 hours)
