We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our team and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. Experience with cleaning materials, equipment, department scheduling, and staff supervision is essential. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word and possess the ability to learn TimeSimplicity scheduling software.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of housekeeping leadership experience (healthcare, senior living, or hospitality preferred).
- Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and infection-control practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word, with the ability to learn scheduling software.
- Commitment to serving older adults in a non-profit, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for the housekeeping department.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Conduct regular quality assurance inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Maintain inventory and manage the purchasing of supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection-control regulations.
- Collaborate with nursing, facilities, and administration to support resident-centered goals.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and best practices for the department.
- Participate in budget planning and cost-control initiatives.
Schedule:
Full-time; 7:00am–3:00pm, Monday through Friday; 80 hours bi-weekly; salaried exempt position with occasional weekend or on-call responsibilities as needed to support department operations.
Pay: $70, $80,000.00 per year
