Good day! We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Support Technician for an onsite opportunity in Pompano Beach, Florida.
In this role, you will provide advanced technical support in an enterprise environment, resolving issues involving workstations, software, user access, connectivity, and peripherals. You will manage problems from initial diagnosis through resolution while delivering responsive, professional service to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in desktop support, deskside support, IT field support, endpoint support, or enterprise help desk operations. You should be comfortable working independently, solving unfamiliar technical problems, and coordinating with specialized IT teams when an issue requires escalation.
Location: Pompano Operations Center Pompano Beach, FL 33069 (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only; W2 employment required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced support for desktops, laptops, software, peripherals, and related workplace technology.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, application, authentication, printing, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot workstation technology.
- Support users with account access, login, authentication, Microsoft 365, VPN, Wi-Fi, and general desktop issues.
- Install approved software and configure hardware, peripherals, and replacement equipment.
- Provide remote assistance and hands-on support at users’ workstations.
- Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex infrastructure, networking, security, or application issues to the appropriate teams while maintaining ownership of the user experience.
- Coordinate across IT teams to resolve issues involving multiple systems or support groups.
- Assist with equipment deployments, replacements, upgrades, office moves, and technology-refresh initiatives.
- Maintain accurate hardware, software, asset, and support records.
- Follow established security, configuration, change-management, and support procedures.
- Explain technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical users.
- Deliver professional, customer-focused support in a structured, high-accountability environment.
Qualifications
- Several years of progressive IT support experience in a professional or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and laptop support.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing PC hardware.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and common enterprise productivity applications.
- Experience installing and configuring desktop applications, operating systems, and peripherals.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, or similar identity and access-management environments.
- Experience supporting printers, scanners, docking stations, monitors, and related equipment.
- Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network-connectivity troubleshooting.
