What are the responsibilities and job description for the GIS Analyst position at CornerStone Technology Talent Services?
CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking a GIS Analyst to support city initiatives through data verification, GIS database management, and property record maintenance. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and quality of datasets related to city fee-owned properties, tax-foreclosed properties, and property leases.
You will work closely with city stakeholders to research documentation, update geodatabases, create boundary features, and maintain data integrity across a wide range of property and facility datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Geocode properties in GIS using address locations or block/lot references.
- Update and maintain attribute records to ensure accuracy.
- Update and maintain the ArcGIS Experience Builder application for property visualization.
- Support Lease Administration by updating GIS records.
- Generate easement and ROW features from KMZ/shapefile data and survey exhibits.
- Update and maintain attribution in ArcGIS Pro.
- Create and maintain GIS records for approximately 700-unit boundaries from real estate documentation.
- Maintain GIS features for general fund facilities.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data related to fuel sites across the city.
- Perform additional GIS and data management tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Public Administration, Planning, Real Estate, or a related field.
- 2 years of GIS data editing experience.
- 2 years interpreting land records and legal descriptions.
- 1 year experience in data input and quality control.
- 1 year experience using ArcGIS COGO and related tools to create polygon boundaries.
Preferred (not required):
- Easement/ROW Agent license.
- Experience in Property Lease Management, Mineral Management, or Oil & Gas leases.
- Experience in GIS database management.
