Senior Category Manager
Location Irving, TX
Compensation & Schedule
• $59/hr (W2 contractor pay)
• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Role Impact: This role supports sourcing, contracting, and category management activities for Professional Services, including consulting, IT services, and managed services. The primary focus is leading and supporting RFP execution, supplier negotiations, and contract lifecycle activities to ensure compliance with procurement policies and business objectives. Success in this role is defined by timely, compliant sourcing execution, effective supplier negotiations, and strong cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders.
• Lead and support RFP/RFQ execution, including requirements development, supplier coordination, proposal evaluation, scoring, and award documentation
• Support and lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, rate cards, statements of work (SOWs), service level agreements (SLAs), and commercial terms
• Coordinate with Legal on contract drafting, review, amendments, redlines, and execution for professional services agreements
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies, timelines, and business requirements
• Conduct supplier and market analysis to inform sourcing decisions and support category strategy development
Minimum Qualifications
• 7–10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contracting, or professional services within an enterprise environment
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in RFP execution, supplier negotiations, professional services contracting, and enterprise procurement governance
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
Core Tools & Systems
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Procurement and sourcing platforms (eSourcing, RFx tools)
• Contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems
• Spend analysis and supplier management tools
Preferred Skills
• Experience supporting Professional Services categories (consulting, IT services, managed services)
• Exposure to category management activities within a regulated or enterprise procurement environment
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and compliance-focused mindset
