Quality Control Technician – Oil & Gas Manufacturing
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Pay: Starting at $24/hr based on applicable quality inspection experience
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Overview
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, first articles, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer, engineering, and company quality standards. This role will utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques within a manufacturing environment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on prototype and production components, subassemblies, and finished goods
- Use and read analog and digital inspection tools including:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Bore gauges
- Indicators
- Additional precision measuring equipment as needed
- Validate dimensions, features, and product characteristics to ensure quality compliance
- Inspect products against engineering drawings, order specifications, and company standards
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Complete dimensional inspections using surface plate layout techniques
- Record inspection results and generate inspection reports
- Mark and stamp approved products
- Prepare rejection and nonconformance reports as necessary
- Review inspection reports, certificates of compliance, and material test reports
- Perform inspection tasks independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2–4 years of related quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well with a team
- Favorable and verifiable work history required
- Criminal background check and drug screen required
