Location Haltom City, TX | Onsite
Compensation & Schedule
• $25.00–$27.00 per hour
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with occasional overtime
• Full-time, W2 employment
• Start date: ASAP
Role Impact
The Purchasing & AP/AR Specialist manages the full lifecycle of procurement and financial transactions to ensure operational continuity and healthy cash flow. This role directly supports technicians, vendors, and customers by maintaining accurate purchasing records, processing payments, and driving timely collections. Success is defined by financial accuracy, strong vendor relationships, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Job Duties
• Create and issue purchase orders for calibration equipment, spare parts, and laboratory supplies based on inventory levels and technician requests
• Source vendors, negotiate pricing, and track order deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials
• Perform 3-way matching between purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents to verify pricing and quantities
• Process weekly vendor invoices with proper general ledger (GL) coding; assist with check runs, ACH payments, and credit card reconciliations
• Generate and distribute invoices for calibration services; post customer payments and apply to correct accounts
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and conduct soft collections on accounts 30 days past due
• Support month-end close activities, including bank reconciliations and accruals
• Maintain accurate procurement and financial records in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), NAV, or Business Central
Minimum Qualifications
• 3–5 years of combined purchasing and AP/AR experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft D365, NAV, or Business Central and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to reconcile accounts and manage financial accuracy
Preferred Skills
• Experience in technical services, manufacturing, construction, or similar operational industries
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 documentation standards
• Background purchasing calibration or laboratory equipment and supplies
