ROLE IMPACT
The Permit Services Representative ensures a smooth and efficient permitting process by guiding customers through application requirements and procedures. This role directly supports timely permit approvals by verifying documentation accuracy, resolving issues, and maintaining clear communication. Success is defined by strong customer service, accurate application processing, and consistent follow-through.
• Key Responsibilities
• Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, and via email regarding permit applications, procedures, fees, and timelines
• Explain permitting requirements and outline necessary steps for successful application submission
• Receive, review, and process permit applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Follow up with applicants to obtain missing information or required documentation
• Address customer concerns professionally and escalate complex issues when appropriate
• Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in customer service or administrative support
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
• Experience working with permit processing, municipal services, or regulatory compliance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
