Mailroom Associate
Location: Irving, TX | Onsite
Compensation & Schedule
• $19–$20/hr
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• Temp-to-Hire | W2
• Start date: ASAP
Role Impact
This role ensures the accurate and timely flow of incoming and outgoing mail that supports daily business operations. Success is defined by speed, precision, and reliability—especially during peak volume periods when high throughput and attention to detail are critical. The ideal candidate maintains a positive team presence while independently driving productivity.
Job Duties
• Sort and distribute incoming mail to appropriate departments and recipients
• Receive and process incoming packages
• Prepare and label outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently
• Maintain detailed tracking records in mail logs and internal systems
• Operate mailroom equipment (postage meters, scales, sorting equipment)
• Coordinate with internal teams and external courier services
• Maintain a clean, organized, and supply-ready mailroom environment
• During peak hour (100–150 titles per hour), maintain speed and accuracy to meet daily processing expectations
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of prior mailroom experience
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry packages as needed
Equipment & Work Environment
• Postage meters, mail scales, sorting equipment
• Shipping and packaging supplies
• Fast-paced, repetitive workflow environment
• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and high-volume processing for sustained periods
