LITIGATION SECRETARY
Location: Fort Worth, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Pay Range: $52,000–$62,400 annually ($25–$30/hr depending on experience)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM with 1-hour lunch (overtime rare)
• Employment Type: Direct Hire

ROLE IMPACT
This Litigation Secretary role provides essential administrative and case management support to a small group of attorneys in a long-standing Fort Worth law firm. Success in this position is defined by independent ownership of litigation workflows, accuracy in document handling, and dependable communication that ensures the smooth operation of legal processes. The role offers professional stability and the opportunity to contribute directly to the success of a collegial legal team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare, format, and finalize pleadings, discovery responses, correspondence, and legal documents for state court filings.
• Manage e-filing through state systems and corporate filings with the Texas Secretary of State.
• Organize, label, and maintain case files and document management systems.
• Proofread and review materials for grammar, accuracy, and compliance with court standards.
• Track and calendar court dates, deadlines, and scheduling orders for assigned attorneys.
• Assemble hearing and exhibit notebooks, handle production tasks using Adobe (Bates labeling, PDF management).
• Enter attorney time in billing software (Time Slips) and maintain accurate records.
• Perform general office tasks including scanning, mailing, routing, and maintaining confidentiality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm environment.
• Proficiency in e-filing procedures, court rules, and document management.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat; basic Excel experience.
• Strong grammar, proofreading, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
