What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk position at Cornerstone Staffing Solutions?
SUMMARY: Assists the shipping and receiving Manager with all incoming and outgoing product in the facilities warehouse. Will be responsible for maintaining accurate counts and locations as well as incoming inspection of received products/raw materials.
RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY:
Ø Assists in the processing of daily shipments (i.e. packing slips, pulling of inventory, and verifying Q.C. approval of product.
Ø Maintaining accurate counts and locations of all products in the warehouse.
Ø Verifying and logging of all incoming materials and supplies.
Ø Inspection of all incoming materials and products.
Ø Assists in maintaining adequate inventories for production.
Ø Reports all discrepancies to appropriate departments.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Ø Must be punctual and dependable.
Ø Must possess good communication skills and be able to interact with all customers and employees.
Ø Must be familiar with ISO requirements.
Ø Must be very organized, detailed oriented and able to multi-task.
Ø Must be familiar with day-to-day production schedules for maintaining adequate inventory.
Ø Must have good math skills.
Ø Must be familiar with customer parts and individual requirements for shipments (i.e. material certifications or advanced notice of delivery).
Ø Must be trained in forklift safety and inspection procedures.
